Programs at Alta Heights

To ensure our students reach their full potential, Alta Heights Elementary offers a variety of programs that support students' academic and social/emotional growth.  Common-core aligned curriculum in all subject areas and research-based behavioral intervention programs give our students the tools to achieve success.

Art Enrichment

Students at Alta Heights participate in a school wide holiday music program each year. Classroom teachers provide art instruction in the classroom and we set aside time to participate in a whole school art week where students learn about master artists.

In addition, the district music program offers band, strings or vocal music for our 4th and 5th graders weekly.  Additionally, our kindergarten students hold a performance for families in May to celebrate their year of learning.  Many of our classrooms put on plays and readers theater performances to further enrich the art experiences for students.
